Refunds and Exchanges

Refund Policy

There are no refunds (even due to inclement weather). If a patron is unable to attend a performance, they may, based on availability, exchange their tickets for seats to another performance during the current season. Some restrictions may apply. To exchange, tickets must be presented to the Ferguson Center Ticket Office at least two business days prior to the performance regardless of point of purchase. If the request is filled with tickets of a higher value, the difference will be charged. Lower priced tickets are not subject to credit or refund. There is a per-ticket processing fee for exchanges. Series subscribers may exchange tickets up to one hour prior to the performance with no exchange fee.

Exchanges are not available for rental events.

Lost / Misplaced Tickets

The Ferguson Center Ticket Office can reprint lost or misplaced tickets prior to the performance. There is a per ticket replacement fee of $2.

Ticket Donations

Unused tickets can be donated back to the Ferguson Center in the 90 minutes prior to the start of the performance. A letter acknowledging your in-kind gift will be mailed for tax purposes.

Children

With the exception of specially designated family performances, all persons regardless of age must have a ticket for admittance into the theater. Please carefully consider whether a performance is appropriate for children before planning to attend. Most performances are not appropriate for children under five, and some artists/tours set a strict age limit for attendance. Should a child be unable to sit quietly in his / her seat throughout a performance, our ushers will request that the child be removed from the theater. For family designated performances, children age one year and younger may be admitted to the theater without a ticket, provided they sit on an adult’s lap and do not occupy a seat. Please note that rental events not affiliated with the Ferguson Center may have a different lap seat policy. If you have questions regarding our policy or the appropriateness of a particular performance, please call the Ferguson Center Ticket Office at (757) 594-8752. Booster seats are available upon request.

All minors must be accompanied by an adult for all performances.

Late Seating

The Diamonstein Concert Hall lobby opens 60 minutes prior to event start time. For the consideration of the artists and our patrons, anyone arriving while a performance is in progress will be seated only at times designated by the artist and their management. Late arriving patrons will be directed to remain outside the theatre until a designated seating time and may be directed to seats in the rear of the theatre until intermission. In addition, management reserves the right to seat late-arriving patrons anywhere in the theater at their discretion for any reason.

Refreshments

A selection of snacks and beverages are available for purchase (at most performances) in the lobby prior to curtain and during most intermissions. Snacks are not permitted inside the theater.

Cameras and Electronic Recording Devices

While the Ferguson Center does not have a specific policy prohibiting cameras, many artists do. When an artist requests a “no camera” policy, our staff is legally required to enforce this on behalf of the artist. When in doubt, ask a member of House Management on the evening of the performance. The use of video or sound recording devices of any kind is strictly prohibited without the express written permission of the artist and the Ferguson Center.
